    ​​Foundational Theraplay® Practitioner, EXAT (Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Therapist)

    Candy has provided counseling to children and families for the past 30 years. Candace specializes in working with children between the ages of 2 & 12 years old, adolescents between 13 & 18, and families utilizing play therapy techniques. Play therapy allows her the opportunity to utilize the common language in children: play. This expressive interaction gives a unique opportunity to support children and families in their growth together.   

    Candace utilizes a collaborative approach and assists individuals and families to reach their goals, develop brain-wise coping skills, and enhance interpersonal relationships by strengthening connections and co-regulation. She has worked in a variety of treatment settings: outpatient counseling, integrated behavioral health in primary care, school-based counseling, partial hospitalization day treatment for children and adolescents, and a residential group home for ages 8-14.

    Machen is a full time Associate Professor at Xavier University, where she teaches within the graduate counseling program. She is the founder of Wired to Bloom Therapy & Consulting LLC, a private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio that specializes in Play Therapy for children and families. Machen has been studying Play Therapy for over 10 years and has acquired over 700 hours of specialized training in Play Therapy. She is an experienced speaker, having reached mental health professionals across state and national conferences.

Grievance Policy

While Wired to Bloom goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, it recognizes that complaints do and will arise. Wired to Bloom will do its best to anticipate problems and, when they do present themselves, will attempt to alleviate complaints as quickly as possible. Please let Machen Champion know if you would like to file a grievance. She will email you the process to begin the grievance process.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations for this training must be submitted to Wired to Bloom via email (hello@wiredtobloomtherapy.com) at least three days prior to the scheduled training date. Registration refunds will not be given to participates who register but do not attend. For virtual training, if a technical failure at the attendee’s home or workplace prevents access to the training, the attendee will not be given a refund. It is the responsibility of the attendee to confirm system requirements and test their computers prior to the start of he virtual training. However, if a technical failure is the fault of the service provider and the virtual conference is cancelled, a full refund will be provided. Wired to Bloom reserves the right to cancel this training in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If such occurs, Wired to Bloom will attempt to notify registrants at least 3 calendar days prior to the event and will refund registration fees.

Photo Release

By registering for a training with Wired to Bloom, you are giving permission to use any photographs that are taken at the event containing your likeness for as long as Wired to Bloom deems appropriate and desirable. Photographs may be used on the Wired to Bloom website, social media pages, and/or newsletter. By completing the registration, you also consent to waive any rights to the photographs indefinitely. If you do not wish to have your photo used, it is your responsibility to notify Wired to Bloom at registration of your request to be omitted.
