Play Therapy Supervision
Candy & Machen are both Registered Play Therapist Supervisors and offer several options for those interested in pursuing training in Play Therapy or for those who are working towards their Registered Play Therapist credential.
15 of the 35 required supervision hours for your RPT can be group supervision and the rest must be from individual supervision. We are happy to offer both!
• Individual play therapy supervision for professionals & students
• Group play therapy supervision for professionals
• Group play therapy supervision for students
Individual Supervision
Meet with Candy or Machen for individual play therapy supervision.
This is a great opportunity to dive deep into your skills & knowledge, review videos, and take your practice to a deeper level through individualized support.

Group Supervision - for Students & Professionals
Gain confidence in applying the therapeutic powers of play to help clients across the lifespan through playful exploration of play therapy skills and knowledge in a group setting. Groups are co-lead by Machen & Candy and meet monthly at the Wired to Bloom office or virtually. Groups are limited to 8 participants and must be signed up to attend.
Professional group: $40 per group
Student group: free
A few important things to keep in mind:
Cancellation Policy
We ask that if you must cancel, it needs to be 48 hours prior to the scheduled supervision or you may be charged the group fee. This allows those on the waitlist to take your spot if you are unable to attend. If you cancel two months in a row, you may be asked to move to the waitlist.
Fees & Paperwork
You’ll be invited to create a profile through Simple Practice, our electronic health record. You’ll be asked to give us some basic info, a credit card to keep on file, and sign the RPT supervision agreement.
Group Structure and Expectations
Group content will be co-created, but will mostly follow a general format. Each meeting will have a playful experiential or topic, a case presentation by a group member (hopefully including a video clips from time to time), and a time for general questions or needs from other members. And sometimes we may need to toss Plan A out the window because something comes up! Play therapists are good at rolling with changes.
Members are encouraged to be pursuing APT approved training (or reading Play Therapy related books) to deep their learning and support their work towards earning the RPT credential.
Meet Your Supervisors
-
Owner of Wired to Bloom
Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, Foundational Theraplay® Practitioner
My goal as a supervisor is to create a welcoming, safe place to engage in a collaborative process. Using the roles of teacher, counselor, and consultant, I strive to meet clinicians where they are at in their professional development by taking a person-centered and developmental model.
Together, we will work to grow in the following areas: process (what you’re actually doing in sessions like interventions and techniques), conceptualization (how you think about your cases), personalization (helping you be the most authentic therapist you can be), and administration (case notes, ethics, etc).
