Adults need support too.
At Wired to Bloom, we specialize in supporting adults who want to move beyond the weight of trauma, anxiety, and painful life experiences. I am Val, and my primary approach is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This research-backed therapy helps the brain reprocess memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck.
I create a safe, supportive space where you feel in control of the process. Together, we start with building coping skills and grounding techniques, so you always have tools to manage strong emotions. When you’re ready, we move into processing the memories or beliefs that are keeping you stuck.
Healing with EMDR doesn’t require reliving every detail of the past. Instead, it allows your brain and body to release what no longer serves you, opening up space for new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to yourself and others.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I bring a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming lens to my work. I believe each person’s story matters, and I tailor EMDR to fit your unique needs. My role is to walk beside you, never to push, but to support your growth and healing. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past; it means reclaiming your sense of safety, control, and hope for the future.
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain reprocess painful or distressing experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to help the brain safely process memories and reduce their emotional intensity.
In EMDR sessions, I guide you through this process at a pace that feels comfortable and safe. The goal isn’t to erase memories, but to change how they are stored in your nervous system so they no longer carry the same emotional weight.
Who can benefit from EMDR?
Many adults find EMDR helpful when they feel “stuck” in old patterns or when past experiences continue to affect their present life. EMDR may be a good fit if you are:
Carrying the weight of past trauma or difficult life experiences
Experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, or intrusive memories
Struggling with low self-esteem, shame, or negative beliefs about yourself
Feeling triggered in relationships or at work in ways that don’t make sense to you
Wanting to move past old wounds and step into a greater sense of confidence and peace
