Hi! I’m Megan!

Megan McGhee is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Ohio who graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her Master’s in clinical mental health counseling. For her undergraduate degree, Megan was a Buckeye at The Ohio State University where she studied Psychology and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. 

During her graduate program, Megan gained experience working with children as a school-based counselor in a middle school and worked in an office setting. Megan also deeply enjoyed leading group therapy sessions at a juvenile detention center. Through these experiences, Megan has helped children, adults, and families navigate through trauma, ADHD, autism, family conflicts, and more. 

Megan believes that children are some of the most curious, intelligent, and imaginative humans who are able to learn how to handle life’s difficulties. Megan has seen how counseling can help kids become more resilient as they grow. Megan enjoys directive and non-directive play therapy- using a child’s rich imagination to build important skills.

Megan is under the supervision of Machen Champion, LPCC-S, RPT-S™, until she receives her independent license. A little more about Megan; she enjoys adventure through travel, books, and being in nature. She is also a huge Harry Potter nerd.
