About Emily

Hello! I have being working with children for many years and brings a genuine passion for others, a great sense of humor, and a curious mind to my work as a play therapist in training. I am passionate about providing affirming mental health care for neurodivergent children and their families. I would be great fit for a child or pre-teen struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, and adjustment concerns.

I have been working in the mental health field with children since 2019 and have loved it ever since. I have my master’s in Clinical Counseling from Wright State University. I previously worked in community mental health and most recently worked as a behavior therapist with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I interned at Dayton Children’s Hospital as a mental health therapist in the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit and here at Wired to Bloom. As an EMDR trained therapist, I able to incorporate this powerful treatment into my work with children and teens through creative and play-based methods. I am also pursuing training in AutPlay®, a neurodiversity affirming framework for implementing play therapy to address the mental health needs for neurodivergent youth.

I am working under the supervision of Machen Champion, practice owner.
